Evel Knievel Sues Kanye West for Touching the Sky
Robert Craig Knievel known to your mother or grandparents as Evil Knievel, has sued Kanye West for infringement of his trademark and likeness. The character ‘Evel Kanyevel” in the Touch the Sky” video was patterned after Evil Knievel.
In 1974 he failed in an attempt to jump the Snake River Canyon in Idaho. Kanye prancing around with Pam Anderson in the desert is a virtual remake of the event.. sorta.
Knievel’s parachute accidentally opened just he cleared the ramp, which slowed the motorcycle. It looked like he would descend into the canyon. The wind carried him into the canyon wall, but he drifted far enough to make it across the river, one foot in the water, the other on land.
Kanye’s motorcycle explodes into a ball of flames.
The 68-year-old Knievel filed the lawsuit in federal court in Tampa, Florida on Monday.
He later gave his review of Kanye’s masterpiece, “That video that Kanye West put out is the most worthless piece of crap I’ve ever seen in my life, and he uses my image to catapult himself on the public.”
He considers Kanye’s video vulgar and offensive, filled with sexual images and didn’t approve of the women in the video (Pam Anderson?) lusting after Kanye’s affections.
“The guy just went too far using me to promote his filth to the world,” said Knievel. “I’m not in any way that kind of a person.”
Now you wonder if Senior Knievel, who is said to be in poor health these days, has any knowledge of Kanye West outside of that one video. Like are the cataracts clouding his vision, the earwax so thick it rolls out like boogers? Kanye West is the furthest thing from a vulgar and offensive rapper you’re gonna get.. unless collared pink shirts cracked to the belly button and sleeves rolled up on blazers make you wanna get out the motorcycle and Snake Jump across his face.
