R. Kelly first post-trial interview for BET

R. Kelly Speaks: I Can’t Be Guilty for Being Innocent

R. Kelly is back. He gave his first post trial interview to BET. Looking as relaxed and happy that dodging 15 - 20 years in prison can do for a person, R. Kelly sat down with Toure and discussed how he was able to keep his head up through seven years of pressure. Gotta give it to Toure, as R. Kelly was rattling off the expected ‘gotta thank my fans’ line, he hit R. Kelly with a real question.

Toure interviews R. Kelly in his first post-trial interview for BET

Toure: “Some of the people who have worked with you, say there is an issue of concern here. Your former manager has said publicly that there is an issue of concern here. Your brother Kerry has said there is an issue of concern”..

R. Kelly: “Issue of concern.. What do you mean?”

Toure: “They say they are concerned that you like under-aged girls.”

R. Kelly answered: They are trying to get back at me for being fired.

The funny part is Toure doesn’t believe a thing R. Kelly is saying.

Take this jewel with you.. “I was charged with something and was found innocent, then I can’t be found guilty for being found innocent.”

Get that from OJ’s blog?

This ass is a classic case of “If you have money you are above the law.” If you have money you can rape and piss on little girls and put off your trial for 6 years so surgery that you have to change your body can heal and get a jury of fools to believe you are innocent.

Why is it that everybody but the 12 jurors knew that R. Kelly was guilty? The evidence was overwhelming but yet he got away with this. I agree with Robert, money is an amazing thing to have. Even video taped evidence isn’t enough when you have the all mighty dollar.

Like my granny always says he’ll get by but he won’t get away. Karma is something else, it always comes back around.

4 Robert Wed, Sep 17, 2008 - 10:36 pm

MsMoni, sometimes karma takes too long to come around. he is definitely one guy that should be in jail.

Yea but its always on time 😉

How can we be mad at the jurors when some of us are still buying and supporting his music. If we really wanted to, we could make him pay one way or another.

7 Above Thu, Sep 18, 2008 - 12:35 pm

I am mad at the jurors becaue they were too stupid to realize that R. Kelly kept having the trial postpone so he can heal from the surgery to change certain things on his body. I for one don’t buy any of his shit anymore. He is a rapist and I can not support his habit of having sex with young girls.

F-ck Kells…you make a good point. Why is that we can’t successfully boycott anymore? Why is it that Americans be it black or white don’t feel that they have enough power to stand on two and use the power of our dollar to hurt the industry.

Hispanics and African Americans make up 24% of the population. They have a much less comparable income to their white counterparts. they spend a considerable amount MORE on ‘visible goods’.

...off my soap box, somethings got to change

9 K-Woo Thu, Sep 18, 2008 - 6:50 pm

Stephanie, Why can’t we boycott anymore is an excellent question and the answer is Americans aren’t as strong as we use to be. Where I am from I have been trying to get people to boycott our cable company for the longest because they treat us lie shit. Everyone agrees they treat us wrong but aren’t willing to do anything about it. We need to boycott gas stations to drive the price of gas but that will never happen. We just aren’t committed to doing OUR part in change, that’s whats wrong. This country has us where they want us. I know we have gone off topic and yes, R. Kelly needs to be in jail.

This clown needs to just go away. How the hell is he going to say “I can’t be guilty for being innocent?” If anyone noticed before the trial he never once said that he didn’t do it. There was overwhelming evidence that his ass was guilty but stupidity got him off. He has taken the number 1 spot from OJ as the man that did it and got away. It is truly sad that people are really going to continue to buy his music.

I’m ashamed that I EVER supported this low life’s career. Needless to say I would not even listen to much less buy anything that had to do with him. I feel that radio stations and the buying public should shut him down.

And for the record Mr Kelly…the verdict was “not guilty” not “innocent”. It’s not the same thing.

12 David Sat, Sep 20, 2008 - 3:38 pm

Darlene, i have to disagree. in this country NOT GUILTY IS SUPPOSED TO BE THE SAME AS INNOCENT.. Hence the term “innocent until proven guilty” . Listen to what we are saying here. we are asking that the rights we depend on to make this country what we say it is no longer apply if you managed to rise above and achieve the “American Dream” .. regular people like you and i said “not guilty” .. the constitution that we wrote to free us from tyranny, beatdown racism and create equal rights for women says that a man should be “innocent until proven otherwise.. Not Guilty in the words of our supposed forefathers does mean INNOCENT.  if not we are truly screwed.

13 Robert Sat, Sep 20, 2008 - 5:28 pm

David, I must inform you that innocent and not guilty aren’t the same. Innocent is when there is no evidence of a crime and not guilty is when there isn’t enough evidence. If they were both the same there would be no reason to have 2 terms. Stop with the stuff about what makes this country what we say it is and the American dream talk. This country is garbage and this just proves it. Regular people did not say not guilty, stupid people said that ass was not guilty. I’ll bet if he was pissing on a family member of yours you wouldn’t feel the same. Fuck that talk about the constitution there ain’t no equal rights and racism still exist. Who are you anyway? You must be white with those kind of beliefs because blacks know how crooked the justice system is. Do some research before you post the bullshit that you posted and if you are black, which I doubt, WAKE YOUR ASS UP and come to the black side DUDE!!!
