The third season of Making the Band 4 premiered on MTV last night. While everyone was watching TV, the stars of the show were at Guest House in New York celebrating the occasion. This season will chronicle Danity Kane, Day 26, and Donnie’s tour experiences and struggles to become the 10x platinum stars Diddy demands/lives for.

The BIG surprise of this early season is the news that Laurie Ann Gibson is back in the mix. She recently spoke about getting back on the Diddy team..

“We had this relationship before MTV, so there was a place of, ‘Can we put this behind us? I believe in who you are. Do you still believe in who I am? We have something bigger than the show. Business-wise, it was definitely in my best interest to take the challenge to move forward and put it behind me.”

Interestingly, at the party last night, it seemed to be all about Laurie. She was in every shot.

Even though Making the Band 4 is underway, this weekend in San Francisco, Diddy will hold auditions for StarMaker. It’s another talent seeking show headed for MTV. This time he’s looking for a solo act - male or female, country, rap or rock. Everyone is welcome.
Hah. I think he’s all but given up on actually signing artists to Bad Boy who have already proved their talent.
